The Cotati Philharmonic has changed it's name to The American Philharmonic-Sonoma County. The name change reflects a desire to offer the orchestra and its management's vision to a broader and more diverse audience whilst, at the same time, not forgetting the principles upon which it was founded.

Our fundamental mission has not changed----- to have the beauty of music and the power of community alive and available for everyone. That is paramount.

• We are committed to the desire that everyone who participates with us has fun, experiences joy, and shares the "Esprit de Corps" that our playing together creates.
  
• That people who participate with us in any capacity gain nourishment for the soul and consider themselves contributors to the creation, participation and performance great work.

The American Philharmonic-Sonoma County, formerly the Cotati Philharmonic, will continue to honor those vows, at the same time nurturing the aspirations of musicians and audiences alike for great music and great performances
